Sir Alex Ferguson takes charge of his final and 1,500th game of Manchester United manager before he bows out into retirement when the champions take on West Brom.

The Scot announced he would be retiring from the game over a week ago after 26 years in charge of Manchester United. It was a fitting tribute last week against Swansea City with a 2-1 win to fit the occasion at Old Trafford. It was the final farewell at Old Trafford where he has made the club a global force on and off the field. But the news broke out on Thursday, the legend himself is retiring as manager of Manchester United at the end of the season. Sir Alex Ferguson goes head-to-head against his arch rival manager Rafa Benitez when Chelsea visits Old Trafford.

Both the manager’s have gone at each other in the past when Benitez had his spell at Liverpool. The many press conference and post match interviews of Benitez have caused some talking points within the press and Ferguson diffusing the situation. Since Benitez has taken charge at Chelsea, he has had much stick from the Chelsea fans and Sir Alex has been there to support him. With Sir Alex already have the league title wrapped up, it is Chelsea who are trying to finish in the top four for the Champions League next season. Newly crowned champions Manchester United play the first game against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in Sunday’s afternoon kick off.

No doubt the centre of attention will be Robin Van Persie returning to the club he played for 8 years, having moved to the Red Devils last summer. His main aim was to win trophies and he is now going to have a Premier League winner’s medal around his neck for the first time. Some Arsenal supporters will still hold a grudge against him for leaving but he has proved the doubters wrong when he decided to not extend his deal at Arsenal. Twitter introduced Vine earlier this year and is becoming another way to interact and engage with your followers.

Vine is a mobile service that lets you capture and share short looping videos. Like Tweets (140 characters limit), the shortness of videos on Vine is 6 seconds or less which inspires creativity. Now that you can easily capture motion and sound, you can create many videos that can attract exposure. Currently, Vine is available on the iPhone and iPod touch. You can download it for free from the App Store. They are working towards bringing it out to other platforms but no dates have been announced.

Manchester United has the chance to clinch their 20th English League title with a win against Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

The evening kick off will see the Old Trafford crowd anticipating a win against Villa which could lead to celebratory scenes at the end of the night. After seeing the result of Spurs beating Man City 3-1, Sir Alex Ferguson will be looking to earn all three points to claim the league title in front of the home crowd. By being 12 points ahead, a further three points would crown United the champions with four games left. If the game finishes a draw or a win for Villa, it keeps United fans waiting until next week.
