This Wednesday is a special occasion in the calendar which I celebrate that is called Diwali. Diwali is the Festival of Lights and is celebrated beyond Hindus, Sikhs and Jains.
During this time of many activities and functions, families and friends share sweets, dried fruits and gifts, many give food and goods to share with those who are less fortunate and in need. Often, it is celebrated through lighting oil lamps and plenty of fireworks. It is also a time when people spring-clean and wear new clothes as it is considered a new and prosperous start to the New Year ahead.
So here are a few jackets that I have picked out to look smart when you are visiting relatives during this busy time as it can be pretty hectic taking off your coat. You can wear theses jackets with an oxford shirt or white shirt and dark coloured jeans or chinos.
To those who are celebrating, Happy Diwali and wishing you a prosperous New Year!
Be safe and careful when around fireworks too.
